Using information already recorded in RXNT’s Electronic Health Records (EHR), enrollment forms are auto-populated and on their way to the pharmacy as soon as it’s prescribed from the EHR. These innovations put specialty medications into your patients’ hands faster, while improving the quality and safety of patient care.

How it works

STEP #1

Provider Writes Prescription

When you enter a new prescription, Surescripts® automatically determines if it’s a specialty medication. Using the patient’s data in the EHR, a Speciality Patient Enrollment form is auto-completed.

STEP #2

Enrollment Form Delivered

RXNT’s EHR automatically sends the enrollment form to the specialty pharmacy in the format they prefer, such as by fax. If needed, the pharmacist requests additional information through this electronic process and you provide the details within the EHR.

STEP #3

Specialty Hub Notified

If a specialty hub is involved,  the EHR will prompt you or your staff to get the patient’s consent to transmit the enrollment form to the hub.

STEP #4

Pharmacy Fills Prescription

The specialty pharmacy, and hub (if applicable), process the prescription. The pharmacy fills the patient’s prescription and the patient can begin treatment.
