What’s the story behind RXNT?

In 1999, founder Randy Boldyga was inspired by a story of a toddler who received a lethal dose of a medication after a pharmacist misinterpreted the prescribing physician’s handwriting. Randy and a small team developed an electronic prescribing solution that greatly reduced the risk of adverse drug effects and negative interactions. More than 20 years later, RXNT offers a portfolio of digital healthcare solutions that have patient well-being and safety as their foundation. 

Who owns RXNT?

Randy Boldyga, President and CEO, founded RXNT with a vision of providing a safer and more efficient way to prescribe medications through Electronic Prescribing (eRx). Building on the success of eRx, today RXNT offers a comprehensive portfolio of digital healthcare software, including eRx, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and Practice Management with Medical Billing and Scheduling, and an integrated Full-Suite.

If I have more than one RXNT solution, can they be integrated?

Yes. All RXNT solutions use the same database and are designed to work seamlessly with other RXNT solutions. Your front office and clinical staff have the same access to patient data via single sign on (SSO). Data transitions quickly and accurately from one system to the other and makes it easier to run customizable, comprehensive reports 

What’s included in the Full Suite solution?

Our Full Suite is a fully-integrated portfolio of software that includes Electronic Prescribing, Electronic Health Records including patient portal, and Practice Management with scheduling and billing solutions. Learn more.

Does RXNT offer mobile apps?

Yes. Registered RXNT users can download our cloud-based iOS and Android apps to e-prescribe, capture billing charges, manage your schedule, and check-in patients. For easy access, face (iOS) and touch (iOS and Android) recognition are available on devices that offer this feature. Learn more.

Do RXNT products work for providers with multiple offices or locations?

Yes. RXNT’s solutions allow for easy differentiation between multiple practice and locations in an efficient and easy to use manner. Information easily flows between all locations and remains up-to-date in real time. 

Does RXNT’s Electronic Health Record have a patient portal?

Yes. Our patient portal helps keep you connected with your patients by giving them the ability to view medical data, download and sign consent forms, access wellness information, get lab results, schedule appointments, and pay bills online. Learn more

What’s the difference between the hard and soft tokens used to e-prescribe controlled substances?

The hard token is ideal for providers who are only using a single username with RXNT. The hard token is a physical device, about the size of a car key fob. The soft token is loaded onto a cell phone or other mobile device and is best for providers who have multiple RXNT prescriber logins who need to toggle between tokens for more than one RXNT username.

Pricing

Is RXNT free?

RXNT digital solutions are not free; however, our products are value-priced to be among the most affordable in our industry. Plus our all-in price includes setup, training, ongoing US-based support, and regular updates. Learn more.

Will I be locked into a multi-year contract with RXNT?

No. You sign up for one year and renew your subscription annually. You can also choose to make monthly payments. You have the ability to end your relationship with RXNT at any time (but we hope you’ll be a client for life!).  

Will I have to pay extra for setup, training, or support?

No, our budget-friendly, all-in price includes setup, training, US-based support, and regular upgrades. Learn more.

Is there a discount for an annual subscription?

Yes. You’ll pay 10% less if you choose to subscribe to RXNT’s EHR, Practice Management, or Full Suite for a year. Our value-priced eRx is only available with an annual subscription (no discount).

Are multiple payment options offered??

Yes. Except for our Electronic Prescribing solution (eRx), you can choose either monthly or annual payments, with a 10% discount for annual payments. Since our eRx is already value-priced, it’s available with an annual subscription only. Learn more.

Security

What steps does RXNT take to protect my data?

Since our inception in 1999, RXNT has never experienced a data breach. We take customer and patient data security very seriously. Our cloud-based software with automatic updates and patches are more secure than server-based products. RXNT follows strict information security policies and has received System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2, Type 2 certification.

Has RXNT ever experienced a data breach?

No. For more than 20 years, RXNT has made it a priority to protect the security of our customers' data and information.

Compliance

Does the RXNT Electronic Health Record (EHR) have the certifications needed to satisfy Meaningful Use requirements?

Yes. RXNT’s EHR solution is Drummond-certified and has achieved the 2015 Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC HIT) certification. Learn more

Is RXNT HIPAA compliant?

Yes, RXNT complies with all HIPAA requirements.

Does the RXNT Electronic Prescribing solution satisfy the Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) state mandates?

Yes, RXNT’s eRX is EPCS-certified for all state mandates, as well as the federal “Every Prescription Conveyed Securely” mandate that takes effect in 2021.

Implementation

What are the system requirements for RXNT's solutions?

Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome (recommended), Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer 11 (eRx).

Screen Resolution: 1920 at 100% zoom is recommended, but at a minimum 1280x800.

Operating Systems: Windows and Mac.

Hardware: 2 Ghz processor, 4 Gb of RAM.

Internet speed: 25 Mbps is preferred, but anything greater than 10 Mbps is acceptable.

Can I use RXNT's solutions with a Mac or PC?

Yes. All RXNT solutions work on both Macs and PCs, as well as mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets with our easy-to-use mobile apps

How involved will I need to be during the setup process?

Minimally or not at all, depending on the product. If necessary, we will provide a list of information and data we need from you. Then we’ll take it from there.

How long does it take to set up an RXNT solution?

RXNT solutions are typically up and running within days or weeks: 

  • Electronic Prescribing: 5-7 business days*
  • Electronic Health Records: 10-15 business days*
  • Practice Management: 15-25 business days*
  • Full Suite: 15-25 business days*

How is data transferred from my current system to RXNT?

RXNT offers a complimentary data import of all your patient demographics, insurance information, and PDFs. This is done during the implementation process. Your assigned project coordinator will provide you with the necessary files.

If I have multiple RXNT solutions, will I need separate logins?

No, only one login is needed.

Will ID proofing affect my credit score?

No. RXNT partners with Experian PLC (a consumer reporting company) to verify your identity based on the information included in your credit report. Our ID proofing process is not a credit check. No hard or soft inquiries will appear on your credit report.

General Information:

Does RXNT outsource its implementation or support teams?

No. All RXNT team members, including implementation and support experts, are located at our Annapolis, MD headquarters. Our representatives are able to resolve customer issues during the initial contact over 90% of the time. During 2019, our customer satisfaction rate reached 97%.

Is training included with RXNT products?

Yes. Online or live training for you and your staff is included in our price. There may be a separate fee for onsite training.
