Product Designer
Department: Product

Job Description:

The Product Designer is responsible for the entire experience a customer has with RXNT’s products from conception to design. The Product Designer will be tasked with creating a design system that will incrementally be applied across all of RXNT’s product offerings, which include Electronic Health Records, Practice Management, and Patient Health Records. A successful Product Designer is dedicated to understanding the unique challenges faced by our customers and is able to represent the voice of our customers at every phase of the design process. The Product Designer is also responsible for the branding and graphic development of our product offerings, including our mobile apps, to ensure responsive cutting-edge design along with a consistent look and feel.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform customer and competitor research to promote user-centered design
  • Conduct usability testing and user interviews and generate solutions to problems and user goals
  • Responsible for every aspect of a user’s experience - the overall flow and layout of the screens, the fields and information presented, the actions and interactions that are provided, and the visualizations of the data in both an iterative and agile fashion
  • Map user navigation, workflows, journeys, wireframes, and prototyping so the entire team can understand the purpose and functionality of features within our solutions
  • Prototype to bring concepts to life so that stakeholders can get a realistic sense of how applications should look and behave
  • Incrementally build a design system with common components that can be leveraged across all projects
  • Ensure consistent look and feel throughout our entire line of product offerings
  • Work with product owners to understand project goals, scope, and priorities and engineers to understand technical feasibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction or related field (master’s degree is preferred)
  • Strong background in design systems and visual design
  • 2 years of professional experience working in UX design or a software development environment is preferred  
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in effective UX writing is a plus

Project Coordinator
Department: Operations

DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer
Department: Development

Job Description:

The DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer at RXNT is an hands-on technical individual responsible to understand, review and evaluate the current and future infrastructure needs of the development team while ensuring development, deployment and production infrastructure meets operational standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production infrastructure is operational to meet the SLA.
  • Setup automated monitoring tools for development, deployment and production infrastructure.
  • Assist development team to architect code base that align with latest infrastructure design.
  • Work with the development team to identify and implement monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for any new modules in each enhancement sprint
  • Setup alerts for deviance in KPI (incidents)
  • Work with responsible technical support members to resolve any P1 issues.
  • Review incidents with concerned development teams and communicate to external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain documentation of full (development, deployment and production) infrastructure.  
  • Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipeline for current and future needs.
  • Work with CTO to create and review development, deployment and production infrastructure roadmap.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Some level of experience managing a production infrastructure with high level of data security. 
  • Basic understanding of operating Systems (Windows and Redhat Linux), Javascript framework( NodeJS, ReactJS ), databases (SQL server and Mongo), hybrid cloud implementation (with GCP or AWS) and Web Servers (IIS, nginx)
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools, preferably Teamcity.
  • Exposure to data privacy and security tools. 
  • A growth mindset to learn, evaluate and implement new technology.
  • Comfortable reviewing code with the development team, when needed, to understand how it impacts infrastructure design.
  • Comfortable working with a fast moving development and product team while maintaining empathy towards other team members, customers and patients we serve.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (product, development and business teams) and avoid taking shortcuts.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Very process oriented using automation to create efficiency and improve quality.

QA Engineer

Job Description:

RXNT is currently welcoming our next major growth phase. We are seeking several passionate, intelligent, energetic individuals to join our team in Annapolis, Maryland. We are seeking a QA Engineer to determine software quality through manual and automated testing for both mobile and web based applications, including cross-platform testing (browser, OS).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with developers, stakeholders and product team to evaluate, analyze, and verify functional, security, performance and system requirements.
  • Define test methods, strategies and plans to ensure that the software will perform according to defined requirements.
  • Initiate and plan work efficiently in order to meet objective deadlines.
  • Execute automated and manual test suites in support of iterative development schedules.
  • Actively participate in code and design reviews with developers and product management to identify risks, mitigations, and potential impacts to quality.
  • Partner with developers and the team to do accurate sprint planning and help developers achieve test automation where possible.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and extend automated quality mechanisms including performance, component, security, and user acceptance mechanisms.
  • Document, review, and validate corrections for customer reported defects and feature requests.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deliver enterprise web applications using an Agile Software Development Lifecycle
  • Creates and executes unit and regression tests to ensure quality delivery of software code
  • Integrate applications with TeamCity (Continuous Integration Platform) to successfully deploy software code to integration, test, and production environments.
  • Evaluate / review existing legacy software code to ensure new web-based solution meets all existing software functionality.
  • Provide input in collaboration with team members to and help establish tools and processes for our next generation product.

 Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree (certification) in Computer Science or technically related field, or equivalent education/experience
