On October 6, 2015, The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized modifications to Meaningful Use (MU) reporting for all Eligible Professionals (regardless of they are Stage 1 or Stage 2 participants) who will be reporting for 2015 through 2017.  Eligible Professionals (EP) now have monumental flexibility to continue to participate in MU in order to earn remaining incentives, as well as to avoid increasing reporting program penalties. Previous complicated requirements have been adjusted to reporting on only 10 objectives in addition to CQM / NQF Measures for a 90 consecutive day reporting period in 2015. The modified objectives ease measures and functionality that EP’s had already incorporated into their workflows during Stage 1.

Following CMS recommendations, RXNT would like to remind Eligible Professionals who plan on participating in the MU and aligned PQRS reporting programs that they should 1. Use certified EHR tech (CEHRT), such as RXNT’s EHR and 2) visit the CMS Registration & Attestation website to verify contact and payee information. Click here to visit the CMS Registration and Attestation website.

The CMS Attestation website will open for all participants to submit 2015 EHR MU & PQRS reporting program data on January 4, 2016. Providers must complete their CMS EHR MU & PQRS Attestations by February 29, 2016.

For Eligible Professionals who have not taken advantage of MU incentives and see at least 30% Medicaid patients, 2016 will be the last year that you can begin to participate to earn the $63,750 maximum incentive payments. Medicaid incentive payments for the first year of participation is as easy as registering to use our EHR

If you are an EP who sees Medicare patients and have outstanding incentives that you have not collected, or you are now in a penalty phase, please contact [email protected] for additional information on how you can take advantage of the modified program requirements using RXNT’s EHR.  To read more about 2015 CMS Reporting Requirements, click here.
